In a brief caption for each photo, tell us your full name, the location and name of the landmark. Your photos will be credited in the Book.

PROMOTER

1. The promoter is Thryv Australia Pty Ltd (“Thryv”) of Locked Bag 2910, Melbourne, 3001, Victoria, Australia.

ELIGIBILITY

2. Entries open at 9.00am (AEST) on Wednesday 1st January 2025 and close at:

  • (a) 5.00pm (AEST) on 1st January 2026 in Western Australia and Northern Territory;
  • (b) 5.00pm (AEST) on 1st February 2026 in South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania; and
  • (c) 5.00pm (AEST) on 1st March 2026 in Queensland and New South Wales,

(“Competition Period”).

3. Entries are open to Australian residents over 18 years of age living in one of the Yellow Pages metro or regional areas in any of the States  or Territories mentioned in 2 above (“Entrants”).

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

4. During the Competition Period, Entrants must submit a photograph in accordance with clauses 5, 6 and 7, which reflects the theme ‘Love where you live’ and showcases the Entrants’ local community in a positive light.

5. The photograph must:

  • (a) be an original digital or scanned photograph captured by the Entrant; and
  • (b) comply with these terms and conditions.

6. The photograph must not:

  • (a) capture visible or recognisable talent;
  • (b) be offensive or obscene;
  • (c) contain offensive language (including swearing);
  • (d) depict any profanities, nudity, violence or any other inappropriate behaviour/object(s);
  • (e) portray people or depict material in any way which discriminates against or vilifies a person or section of the community on account of race, ethnicity, nationality, sex, age, sexual preference, religion, disability or political belief; or
  • (f) include any literary or artistic work, or any other item in which copyright subsists, unless the Entrant is entitled to include it.

7. To enter the competition, Entrants must visit the competition website https://www.yellow.com.au/love-where-you-live/ and:

  • (a) register their details, by providing their full name, email address, the location of the photo shoot and name of the landmark; and
  • (b)  submit a copy of their photograph in a non-compressed JPEG format (maximum file size of 25MB) with a resolution of at least 150dpi with a minimum image size of 2048 x 1536 pixels.

(“Entry”)

8. Entrants are permitted to enter as many times as they choose.

9. Once submitted, the Entrant cannot alter or delete the Entry.

10. Thryv reserves the right at any time, to verify the Entry as well as the eligibility of the Entrant (including Entrants’ identity and address) and to disqualify any Entrant who submits an Entry that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions or who tampers with the Entry process. Failure by Thryv to enforce this right at any stage does not constitute a waiver of this right.

11. Thryv accepts no responsibility for any late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted or delayed Entries whether due to error, omission, alteration, tampering, theft, destruction or otherwise. Thryv has no control over the Internet, networks or lines and accept no responsibility for any problems associated with them, whether due to technical malfunction or otherwise. Thryv is not liable for any consequences of user error including (without limitation) costs incurred. Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt into the database, not at the time of transmission by the Entrant.

TERMS OF USE

12. By submitting the Entry, the Entrant accepts these terms and conditions. These terms and conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between the Entrant and Thryv and apply in addition to Thryv’s privacy policy. Where there is a conflict, these terms and conditions will apply.

13. By submitting the Entry, the Entrant acknowledges that the photograph (or part thereof) may be:

    • (a) made available to be used across all Thryv’s brands and products and may be accessible to the general public; and/or
    • (b) printed on the cover of a 2025/26 Yellow Pages book.

14. Thryv reserves the right not to use any part of the photograph and may at any time remove any photograph that it considers (in its sole judgment) is in breach of these terms and conditions or if required to do so for any reason.

15. The photograph must:

  • (a) be the original work of the Entrant;
  • (b) not infringe the copyright, privacy or any other rights of any third party; and
  • (c) not include any literary or artistic work, or any other item in which copyright subsists, unless the Entrant is entitled to include it. If the Entrant has any doubts about whether they have the right to include any content (for example, copying existing images), the Entrant must not include it.

16. If a third party makes a claim against Thryv that the photograph infringe the copyright, privacy or any other rights of any third party, the Entrant must, at Thryv’s request but at the Entrants’ cost, provide to Thryv all reasonable assistance relating to such claim.

17. The Entrant is liable to Thryv for breach of these terms and conditions (including clause 6 and clause 15) under the principles applied by the courts. However, the Entrant is not liable to Thryv for any loss to the extent that it is caused by Thryv.

18. By submitting the photograph, the Entrant:

  • (a) grants Thryv a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide licence to reproduce, communicate, broadcast, edit, adapt, modify or otherwise use the photograph as Thryv sees fit for any purpose, including the right to sublicense the use of the photograph to others at Thryv’s sole discretion;
  • (b) unconditionally and irrevocably consents to any act or omission that would otherwise infringe the Entrants’ moral rights in the photograph and present and future rights of a similar nature conferred by statute anywhere in the world whether occurring before or after this consent is given; and
  • (c) agrees to Thryv editing, amending or otherwise modifying the whole or any part of the photograph.

 

PHOTOGRAPH SELECTION

19. Each valid photograph submission will be individually judged by Thryv based on, amongst other things, appropriateness to the region, creativity, originality and compliance with these terms and conditions.

20. Thryv will select one photograph per book region. The “book region” relates to each region in which there is a customised edition of the Yellow Pages book in 2025/26.

21. Thryv will select up to 60 photographs in total, comprising of 54 photographs for the Yellow Pages regional books and 6 photographs for the Yellow Pages metro book.

22. The selected photograph will be published on the cover of the Yellow Pages book and the Entrants’ name of the selected photograph will be credited and published on page 1, contents page of the Yellow Pages book, relevant to their book region. Thryv will determine the book region that applies to each Entrant based on the Entrant’s photograph and details provided by the Entrant.

23. Thryv will contact the Entrant by email if their photograph is selected. The Entrant may be required to validate their eligibility (i.e. provide evidence of valid Entry).

24. Thryv has the right to disqualify any Entrant if it considers (in its sole discretion) the photograph to be in breach of the key selection criteria, terms and conditions or inconsistent with the maintenance of the image, business and good will of Thryv and its related entities.

25. Thryv’s decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

 

GENERAL

26. If for any reason any aspect of this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, mobile network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any cause beyond our control which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, Thryv may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, or invalidate any affected submissions.

27. Thryv, its related entities, associated agencies and companies associated with this competition will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) by any person in connection with this promotion or accepting the prizes, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).

28. The information Entrants provide will be used by Thryv for the purpose of conducting this promotion. Thryv may disclose Entrants’ personal information to companies and agencies connected with this promotion and the Entrants’ names may be published pursuant to the terms and conditions of this competiton.
