Marketing Jargon Buster: Local SEO.

What is ‘local SEO’?

SEO is short for Search Engine Optimisation.

Local SEO is when you optimise your website to appear in location-specific Google search queries. This includes featuring keywords on your website that connect with local business searches, such as ‘Hairdressers in Fitzroy’ or Hairdressers near me’.

It also means keeping your location details complete and up to date on your business directory listings and your Google My Business page, because Google also uses this information to power location specific searches.
